Having grown up in the South of India, with my mother playing a significant role in its art and culture, I have always been fascinated by art and its artisans. My background in interior design made me look at this world in a whole different view.
With a combination of sustainable design and interior spaces I wanted to look at art in South India and how that can be viewed. So I went on to break down sustainability and its theories through the world of South Indian art and its artisans. During my initial research and conversation with artists.
I was able to understand some of the root causes of the problems faced by artists when it comes to the preservation and promotion of art and hence was deeply motivated to pursue this field into my final project of my masters program.
